Castaic Lake is not far from my home and has always been a very quiet and beautiful area, especially during the week when no one is around. I travelled over there about a week ago with an appetite to paint something with water in it.
I went to the upper lake area which only had a few lone fisherman lazily casting their lines. It really was a beautiful scene. I realise my good fortune as I journey to these lovely sites, during the same hours that most people sit in stark cubicles with little to no view at all. How wonderful it is to have this as my chosen profession.
So here is Mid-Day Splendor as I see it. Soft breeze, gently moving against the lake's surface. A perfect California afternoon. I wouldn't miss it and am entirely happy to live here.
