Sometimes you start out with a plan and direction for your painting
and some influence occurs that can change your whole approach.
My direction shifted course this afternoon when my attitude became
freer, lighter, almost giving into the present moment and not trying
so hard.
Over the next 3 days I will be in an intense figure and portrait painting workshop, so I decided to relax a little and just enjoy painting. Perhaps the casual gesture and easy brushwork came through.
