Hi Lorelle, what a wonderful portrait - hm - one can nearly hear something and feel the same curiosity this old lady is revealing... btw - I think you have got a spelling error in the title - not being mother-tongue English I had to look up whether there is a wordplay with "appRearances" - alas - I could not find anything - LOL! If I only had the budget right now I would definitely buy this painting! I love it!!
I really like your work, and your realistic yet stylized style of painting, I was curious if you'd be interested in exchanging links. My blog is austinmaloney.com and my email is amaloneyart@gmail.com
California artist Lorelle Avonne Miller exhibits a sensitivity of mood and emotion in her work that is unique, a look into the deeper wells of her experience. Her motivation is to express and communicate appreciation of natural beauty and the intensity of the human experience. Over a lifetime of developed technique and personal investigation, Lorelle shares her visions through her paintings and sculpture. She has a broad yet very finely tuned spectrum of mediums which all contribute to her expression in visual art. Collectors and audiences round the world relate on a deeper level to her work. After viewing a piece of art be it a painting, sculpture or one of more than 50 street paintings made by Lorelle, viewers describe a sense of emotional impact which is long lasting and rare.
Lorelle’s visions came at a very early age through her art and writing. She is a graduate of California State University of Northridge. Her area of study was graphic design, illustration and sculpture. She continued her studies in graduate school and today studies with the contemporary master’s of the day such as David Leffel, Morgan Weistling, Mian Situ, Lynn Gertenbach and Margot Lennartz.
Lorelle ventured into commercial art and teaching for many years while raising her family with her husband Warren. She worked as a graphic designer/Manager and Illustrator for the bio-medical entrepreneur Alfred E. Mann and many of his world-renowned companies. She also taught fine art classes at her local Community College and private art schools in her community. Her commitment to the Arts brought her to serve on the Santa Clarita Arts Advisory Board for over 4 years.
Lorelle’s desire to create seems to intensify with every year. Her commitment to her work is steadfast, with a burning desire to learn and develop her craft to the utmost. To own a piece of art made by Lorelle is to own a morsel of her very fabric and soul. She lives with her family in Santa Clarita, California.

Very nice... this one reads so well close up and far off. Looking forward to seeing it in person at the show this weekend!
