My last day to paint up in the Sequoias. I wandered around looking for an interesting subject to paint and saw this little tin roofed shed sitting in a grove of pine trees. All the brilliant light catching the tips of the brush nearby.
I know I have farther to go with my paintings, trying to catch the light and get it all down just right, but I do enjoy painting outside. I want to relish the places I go, not just mechanically depict them. The reach is tough, but the journey is good.
