Winter Bridge

On this day, the wind was really gusting around me, but this lovely little scene was begging to be painted. During the process of painting I was hit by a tumble weed and held on tight to my easel so it would not get blow over.

This kind of painting experience can not be felt in a studio. You are challenged by the elements and pushed to concentrate regardless of what is going on around you. Plein Air painting is amazing.

This is a fantastic painting. For some reason it looks like familiar teritory. I feel like i've been there before.
I like the tratment of the little bridge: Kinda there but not there.
